The BOX Seat successfully designs and produces a continuously evolving range of seats, and has so for more than 20 years. Founded in Australia, with the Head Office now in Europe and distribution from several international locations, we are able to serve venues and events all over the world with premium products.
The following milestones, present the design of the first seats in the beginning of this century and the impressive track record the BOX Seat has built over the years.
2000
Our history is founded on the 2000 Olympic Stadium, defining the next generation of spectator seating. In this landmark project that seated 116,000 people, it was the largest seated stadium in the world. Together with the new seat a revolutionary installation technique was developed, seen here in the Olympic Stadium.
2002
The technology boom delivered ground-breaking interactive digital assistants and beam mounting systems.
2004
The creation of an evolutionary compact seating system that offered a new commercial and environment focus, The BOX Seat. Recognised by BRW ‘Business Review Weekly’ as one of this years best innovations.
2006
Arsenal football club increased its match day sales by 500%, noting that The BOX Seat was a key contributor.
2007
The BOX Seat won the Design Award. ‘There are some very impressive achievements here. A very well resolved product with many original aspects. This product is structurally amazing’.

2008
The BOX Seat saw unprecedented growth delivering multiple premiership and regional sports seating projects in the United Kingdom.
2010
The first ever temporary seats approved for the World Cup, seamlessly integrated into the main stadium of Cape Town stadium.
2011
Introduction of the 901 model, the new event focused seating, soon used throughout the world on recognised major events like the Formula One and Golf Championships.
2012
Hosted at the London Olympics for the eventful Beach Volleyball, in the shadow of the London Eye, a new event seating standard and the big launch of our stylish 901 Model.
2014
For this special project we delivered a true curved venue solution, the actual concrete treads are curved, not faceted.
2016
Architecturally stunning, the Bordeaux stadium by Herzog De Meuron represents a statement of beauty and elegance.
2017
Production expands in Europe, delivering even better service and customer support, marking a milestone in our growth.
2018
Australia delivers a highly successful Commonwealth Games that saw the start of cost-effective global events.
2020
The introduction of ‘Safe Standing’ seating brings with it some prestigious projects like Redbull Arena New York and Los Angeles FC.
2022
The fastest F1 street circuit in the world, Jeddah marked the return to events after a tough winter of Covid restrictions.
2024
The introduction of the recycled 908, using up to 75% recycled materials. More so, The BOX Seat aims for the ultimate Cradle-to-Grave solution, and offers a complete circular solution based on the collection and reuse of our seats at the end of their life time.
